" I played most of my minor hockey with repaired sticks, I have sort of come full circle repairing sticks for my own kids.”

- Kenny, Owner of Stick Fix Okanagan

Kenny has been in and around hockey for most of his life.  Growing up in a small mining town in Northwestern BC, he played his minor hockey in Granisle and Burns Lake.  As a Junior he played 2 years in the BCJHL with the Dawson Creek Kodiaks and thereafter played 3 years of senior A hockey with the Burns Lake Braves.

He followed his family into the mining business and owned his own drilling company for several years, during this time he also coached minor hockey for 13 years.

In 2007, while coaching, Kenny built his own portable skate sharpener and started sharpening his team's skates.

“When I was a kid growing up my grandpa built his own sharpener and sharpened skates for years. He was known as the best skate sharpener around. Not only that, we use to take him our broken wooden hockey sticks and he would laminate them back together for us. I played most of my minor hockey with repaired sticks.

It was a very natural progression to join the Stick Fix Group and Kenny decided to get certified as a Master Stick Technician and a Professional Skate Sharpener. His new location in West Kelowna services the entire Okanagan area.

Our new partnership with Liquid Venom means that at Stickfix Okanagan, not only can we do your carbon fiber repairs, but we now offer several different professional ways to finish the product.

Our options now include vinyl wrapping, painting, or hydro dipping, either way, your product will come out looking as good as new!
